The story of AROUND the BEND...
The planar intersections of spacetime are invisible, for now anyway, but we can empirically know they exist. Choices are at the crux of these time-intersections. In an instant, we could make a sharp turn and seamlessly persist on a completely different life path.
Time is not only linear, but multidimensional, perhaps with X, Y, Z, axes... like a Rubix Cube, but different. This dimensionality equates to directional flexibility. While time is a fundamental element of Around the Bend, the series also opens a dialogue between the connections and communications within and around us.
I chose a more minimalistic approach because of its relative obscurity as time, too, is elusive. Swarovski crystals are a prominent feature in some of the works and offer an adaptive element as they capture the everchanging light of day. The works are intended to be flexible in their display manner and can hang in a corner or as a straight line to reflect personalized perspectives and our flexibility of changing them.
